1969 Trans Am Convertible Reproduction Please read entire advertisement carefully. I will answer any questions you have .I have for sale my 1969 Trans Am Convertible (Reproduction) which I have owned for the last 8 years. The car was shipped from the Norwood, Ohio General Motors plant in July of 1969 to Charlie Kittle Pontiac in Memphis, Tennessee. I have the PHS documentation to show it was originally a 350 engine, automatic transmission, convertible with A/C, power brakes and power antenna. My wife and I drive this car weekly and it is very reliable. We are building a new house and that is the only reason this car is being sold. The 350 has been replaced with a Pontiac 428 which was an option for that year which could only be installed at the dealership. (Read about 428 engines as a Pontiac dealer option on the internet.) I can only put 24 photos in this advertisement but if you want more photos and a short video I have posted them to a Dropbox account. Please message me through eBay and I will send you the link. The car, starts and runs excellent. While I cannot confirm that the previous owner did a full restoration on this car it is very clean and had many new parts, brakes, exhaust, fuel tank, steering, interior, etc. when I purchased it in 2006. Exterior: The car is polar white with appropriate painted blue stripes. I have included a photo of two dime size rust spots on the lower drivers side door and small chip on the hoods left edge. Convertible top is dark blue canvas and like brand new, has rear plastic window that is excellent not foggy or cracked at all. All badging on the car is in great shape: front bumper Pontiac emblem, rear firebird marker lights, the word "Pontiac" on rear panel, rear trunk lock firebird emblem and "428" emblem on trunk deck. Hood is fiberglass with non-functional hood scoops, hood has Pontiac lighted hood tach (was a dealer option in 1969) that works, side air extractors are not functional, doors and trunk all shut properly. All exterior lights work correctly. Power antenna works correctly. Undercarriage is very clean, exhaust, brake lines, gas tank, steering, shocks, etc all look very clean. Chrome bumpers both look great. Chrome wheel well trim. Trans Am side and rear fin decals are in excellent shape. Convertible top has a nice color matching boot that snaps on and off. The car has Rally II wheels with correct black lug nuts and center caps on BF Goodrich T/A radials with good tread. (Some older photos show red center caps, those were changed to correct black.) Engine/Transmission: The engine is a 428 ci with a turbo-hydormatic 350 transmission. The car does not smoke or run rough, it is a very reliable engine. (My wife drove this car to work for 3 weeks when her car was in the shop, its more reliable than this foreign crap they build today.) It has a 4 core aluminum radiator with both traditional fan and two electric fans, Edelbrock carb and Edelbrock aluminum intake. It has a nice set of headers that give it a throaty sound but not too loud. I know a little about Pontiac motors but I am not sure of the numbers on the block. I have photos of all numbers that I can reach and find. I see a YH stamped on the block which to my understanding represents a 1969 428 engine. There is a slight oil leak about the size of a quarter after a month of sitting. Original (not aftermarket) R-12 Air Conditioning system, compressor works fine and lasted about 2 years the last time I recharged it. (currently not charged) Battery, alternator, master cylinder all work as they should. Interior: Many of the reproductions have the black interior. This car is all blue and has original front seat belts (marked 1969) and aftermarket rear seat belts. No rips or tears in seats, all new springs and cushions put in drivers seat. No tears in dash, period correct floor mats, aftermarket replica Pontiac radio with MP3 player. All gauges, dash lights, cigarette lighter, horn, turn signals, flashers, windshield wipers, power convertible top, lights, defroster, AC switches, tilt wheel all work as they should. Glove box works and has copy of reproduction 1969 owners manual inside. One photo shows an older wood steering wheel that I had on it. The close up photo of the wood steering wheel with the word "Pontiac" on the center cap is the current period correct, color correct wood steering wheel which cost over $450 to replicate. The only dash light not working is the brake light that comes on when you engage the emergency brake. The emergency brake works fine. Carpeting is also blue and has no tears, rips or stains. Trunk has no rust, trunk mat and spare tire are included. Paperwork: I have clear Florida title to this
